Project
The Detlev Rohwedder Building (DRH), today the seat of the German Federal Ministry of Finance, is one of Berlin’s most historically charged sites, reflecting multiple chapters of modern German history.
The project involved the relaunch of a single, cohesive brochure that documents the building’s past and present. The publication spans 82 pages across four chapters, translating a complex and sensitive historical narrative into a clear, contemporary editorial format.
As Art Director at Zum Goldenen Hirschen, I developed three distinct layout directions to reinterpret the existing content within a new visual system. After one direction was selected I oversaw the full layout process and supervised Junior Art Director Sarah Lewonig throughout production. I worked closely with Creative Director Denise Spielmann, ensuring visual consistency, clarity and a respectful, structured approach to presenting historically sensitive content.
